Fall Newcomer
Waltz: After Whisk and Chasse from PP, add:

At Corners:
- NST
- 4-6 Reverse Turn
- Whisk and Chasse from PP
Or
- Whisk at corner (Leader turns ¼ to L; No turn for follower)

The follower’s head turn is gradual and follows an “over the rainbow” arc, to and from PP (Pinocchio nose). The head starts to the left and turns more to the left before turning right, then turns more to the right just before turning to the left. Remember: Turn left to turn right and turn right to turn left.

- Natural Turn and Back Lock SQQ SQQS
- Running Finish QQS
- Forward Lock SQQS
Our class Quickstep routine is now figures 1-10 of the Bronze routine.

Rumba/Cha Cha
Review Bethesda NQE
- Always look better than you are!
- Dance assertively. Commit to every step. Always use a hard focus, never a soft focus.
Intermediate Quickstep
- Checked Natural Spin Turn in corner SQQ SSS
- Reverse Pivot, turning ¼ to face DW of new LOD S
- Double Reverse Spin, end facing DW SSQQ
- Cross Chasse SQQ
- Forward Lock SQQS
Technical Points
- The NST ends with leader to the side and follower diagonally forward, both dancers up on the toes.
- His Reverse Pivot is a step back, toe turned in. Hers is a forward step with a slightly delayed turn.
Delaying her turn enables the next step to be a long back step into the heel turn.
Tango: Figures 1-3 of Silver Routine:
- Progressive Link QQ
- Fallaway Promenade SQQ SQQ
- Natural Twist Turn SQQ SQQ
Samba: Corta Jaca turning to right (End with leader backing DW to follow with Criss Cross Voltas, next week)
