Advanced Latin: Linked Arm Walks in R/C/S/J
Cha Cha (Walk, Walk, Lock)
- Keep space between partners to fulfill, feel and work with the connection.
- Three Areas of the Body: Intellectual (Head, hands, feet), Emotional (Torso) and Passionate (Pelvis) Each culture emphasizes one of these areas most.
- Dance your back means at least three things: Energize the posture, rotate the back, slide the back laterally (typewriter)
- Free arm and hand are connected to an invisible ballet barre.
- Straighten the knee before the foot arrives on each step.
- Definition of “grounded:” Keep pressure in the balls of both feet at all times.
